Oniel Bebeshito has achieved a significant milestone in his music career by winning his first international award. He was honored with the Monitor Latino Award 2026 in the category of Best Supporting Artist during the seventh edition of the event held in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
The news was shared by the singer through a reel on his Instagram account, where he expressed his excitement: "This video is serious. I just found out I won the Monitor Latino Award, my first international award. It's an award held in Colombia, and I was in the Best Supporting Artist category. It's the first time in history that 'reparto' has its own category in an international award show."
At the conclusion of his video, the artist encapsulated the moment with a few words: "It's insane."
The singer also shared a clip of the ceremony moment when his award was announced. The event took place on Wednesday at the Centro de Eventos Diamante in Bucaramanga, as part of a three-day schedule that began on October 26.
Award Ceremony and Competitors
The Monitor Latino Awards are organized by the eponymous platform known for tracking radio airplay, established in 2003 and active in over 18 Ibero-American countries. Their awards are based on actual radio rotation data and attract top-tier artists such as Maluma, Shakira, and Karol G among their nominees.
In the category where Bebeshito triumphed, he was up against artists like Dany Ome & Kevincito el 13, Ya Ice Dila, Rey Tony & Helabusador, and Wow Popy. His nomination was announced in mid-September.
Rising Career Trajectory
This victory underscores a period of sustained growth for the artist, whose real name is Oniel Ernesto Columbié Campos. Back in August 2025, he became the first 'repartero' to fill the Kaseya Center in Miami, drawing in over 19,000 attendees. That same year, he represented 'reparto' music at the Billboard Latin Music Week.
Billboard recognized him as a "Rising Latin Artist" in July 2025 and included him among the 26 Latino artists to watch in 2026. The singer has also accumulated more than 30 gold, platinum, or multi-platinum certifications from the RIAA.
