A Renault truck originating from Manzanillo, located in Granma province, overturned on Wednesday on Cuba's National Highway, around the 50-kilometer mark, as reported by ARC News on the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!"
The mishap resulted only in material damage, with no injuries reported. Yosbany Castiñeira, the crane operator who removed the vehicle from the road, confirmed the accident and shared details in the comments section about how it unfolded.
"There was no other vehicle involved. The driver attempted to move the truck off the road to clear the path, and as he descended in that area, due to the steep slope, it slowly tipped over; only material damage occurred," Castiñeira clarified.
He also specified that it was a Renault truck and that he personally handled its removal with the crane.
The photos released depict the heavy vehicle lying on its side on the pavement, surrounded by several individuals, with no emergency units in sight.
