The day commenced bright and early with the young bride attending a makeup and hairstyling appointment prior to the ceremony. She requested a simple look—subtle makeup and an elegant updo—and was pleased with the outcome.
A minor scare occurred en route to the consulate when it started to rain. "I panicked a bit," she admitted, though her companions reassured her, reminding her that rain on a wedding day is a sign of good fortune.
"The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and although our parents couldn't join us in person, they were present via video call," she shared. Instead, a group of friends celebrated alongside the couple. "They pampered us immensely and made us feel incredibly happy and supported," she added.
Days following the ceremony, the couple engaged in a photo shoot at a Chinese studio that Carmen Rosa described as "breathtaking." For this occasion, she chose three dresses: one white, one red, and one black.
The studio's team took care of her makeup, hairstyle, and even adorned her with a crown. "They were so kind and lovely to me. They made me feel special," she remarked. Carmen Rosa also noted that the studio staff seemed excited to work with a foreigner: "They were more thrilled than we were."
Carmen Rosa has been sharing glimpses of her life in Guangzhou with her followers for several years. She collaborates with SHEIN, a major fast-fashion brand based in the city. A typical workday as a model involves up to 60 to 80 outfit changes.
The young woman has also showcased her rental apartment in China to her audience, for which she pays 3,500 yuan monthly, approximately 490 dollars.
