The lawmaker argued that the attack on Beller is a diversion tactic to keep the public occupied while a larger conspiracy is underway.
"Today, they are creating a smoke screen to distract the Bolivian people. We must investigate what this woman (Beller) has said, but this smokescreen is to start weaving a coup in October, taking advantage of the public's dissatisfaction, especially since the government hasn't adequately addressed their needs," he explained.

The legislator also demanded transparency from the executive branch regarding Cerimedo's role, who was detained on August 18 at Viru Viru Airport while attempting to fly to Buenos Aires and is currently facing 180 days of preventive detention for attempted femicide:
"I ask the Executive Power to stop denying that Mr. Cerimedo was a personal advisor to the president. He was indeed, and we cannot hide that. Therefore, it is necessary for the president to speak out and clarify all this to the Bolivian people."
