A traffic accident at the intersection of 3rd and 60th in the Miramar neighborhood, Playa municipality, Havana, resulted in a jeep being completely overturned and a white car suffering extensive damage.

Photos of the incident, shared on Facebook by Onel Torres Roche, depict the dark-colored jeep flipped entirely over, wheels pointing skyward, while the white sedan shows a demolished driver's door and a crushed left side.

The extent of the visible damage to both vehicles indicates that the collision likely occurred at high speed.

As of now, there have been no reports of injuries or clarification on the causes of the crash. Cuban authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.

Speculation among social media users suggests that the traffic light might have been out due to power outages, though there's no confirmation linking this to the crash.

Miramar, known for its broad avenues and diplomatic establishments, has frequently been the site of serious accidents in recent times. In June of this year, a fatal accident was reported at 5th Avenue and 42nd Street, resulting in at least one death and damage to three vehicles.

This event is part of an ongoing road accident crisis in Cuba. According to the National Commission of Road Safety, there were 7,538 traffic accidents in 2025, with 750 fatalities and 6,718 injuries, surpassing the figures from the previous year.
