Salazar awaited the results at a South Florida restaurant surrounded by supporters, having cast her vote in Quibiscay shortly before the polls closed.
"This truly fills me with gratitude and joy, and it sends the message that what we are doing is powerful," she expressed to her followers, as reported by Univision Miami.
In a statement shared on X, she thanked district Republicans for "choosing results over rhetoric, an independent voice over party bosses, and freedom over socialism."
"In Congress, I will continue to vote for what is best for you, my constituents, rather than the usual demands from Washington. I will keep fighting to lower taxes, address our housing crisis, build bipartisan support to fix our broken immigration system, and stand firmly against socialist Democrats," she reaffirmed her legislative agenda.
Her victory speech took a strong stance on the trajectory of the Democratic Party.
"Socialist forces are infiltrating the Democratic party. Regardless of what adjective precedes socialism—democratic, pragmatic, or friendly—socialism remains socialism. It is a virus spreading across the country," she asserted.
Maria Elvira also touched on immigration issues.
"In this campaign, I've spoken with the president, and they know: immigration is a real problem. I've said the way the laws have been enforced, especially last year, wasn't the right approach," she stated.

This marks the third consecutive Republican primary victory for Salazar in the 27th District.
In 2024, she secured 88.7% of the vote in a similar contest, reinforcing her stronghold within the Republican electorate of South Florida.
Salazar has represented the 27th District since January 2021, after first winning the seat by defeating Democrat Donna Shalala.
Immigration Stance Sparks Internal Tension
Despite having the backing of President Donald Trump, Salazar has maintained a more moderate stance on immigration, opposing mass deportations and advocating for measures like Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans and Haitians.
This position drew criticism from former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who called Trump's endorsement of Salazar "an insult to his base."
Salazar countered that Greene "was not being truthful" and defended her approach as "dignity, not amnesty."

In the Democratic primary for the same district, former CBS Miami anchor Eliott Rodriguez, 69, whose parents are Cuban, won with about 54% of the vote against former federal prosecutor Robin Peguero.
