Tuesday, July 28, 2026 by Robert Castillo

The Havana-born singer, Bebeshito, has achieved a significant milestone in his career by securing a nomination for the prestigious Premios Juventud 2026. He is recognized in the "New Male Generation" category, alongside nine other talented artists: Clarent, Damn Goldo, DFZM, DIA, Juan Duque, Kris R., Maisak, Santos Bravos, and Sebas Barcenas.

This nomination comes at a time when Bebeshito, whose real name is Oniel Ernesto Columbié Campos, is experiencing tremendous momentum. In August 2025, he made history as the first Cuban reparto artist to sell out the Kaseya Center in Miami, attracting nearly 20,000 fans. Following this achievement, Billboard identified him as one of the 26 Latin artists to watch in 2026. By March of that year, he celebrated earning 24 gold and platinum albums with RIAA certifications.

The Cuban Influence at Premios Juventud 2026

Bebeshito isn't the only Cuban-origin artist making waves at this year's nominations. The renowned duo Gente de Zona, consisting of Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom, is competing for "Favorite Group or Duo of the Year" against bands like Maná, Reik, Morat, and Rawayana, among others.

Also in the spotlight is Cuban-American star Pitbull, who was born in Miami to Cuban parents. He is nominated for "OMG Collaboration" for his track "Damn I Love Miami," featuring Lil Jon, which was released in September 2025.

A Landmark Event for Premios Juventud

The 2026 edition of Premios Juventud features a total of 338 artists across 50 categories, as revealed by Univision. This year's event will make history by being held outside the Americas for the first time in its 23-year history.

The ceremony is set for September 3, 2026, at the Starlite Amphitheater in Marbella, Spain, under the theme "Connect to the Vibe" as part of the inaugural PJ Fest. Fans can catch the live broadcast on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and ViX, and they are encouraged to vote for their favorite artists at premiosjuventud.com.

For Bebeshito, who represented Cuban reparto at the Billboard Latin Music Week 2025 and began recording music while in eighth grade in Havana, this nomination solidifies his status as the most prominent Cuban reparto artist on the international stage.
