A former professional tennis player from Uruguay was taken into custody in Doral, Miami-Dade County, following a heated altercation at a sports store. The incident, which was captured on video, quickly went viral on social media, as reported by local media.
The individual involved is 27-year-old Nicolás Xiviller Pardodeir, who was identified by Doral Police as the man seen in security footage and videos recorded by store employees.

The confrontation occurred last Friday afternoon at Tennis Plaza, located at 2600 NW 87th Avenue within the Westend Doral Mall. According to authorities, Xiviller Pardodeir intentionally damaged two tennis rackets inside the store, which together were valued at $568.
Footage also shows the suspect striking the store's main door before employees asked him to leave. At this point, the police report states that the former athlete threatened the staff before exiting the premises.

Law enforcement stated that the former tennis player is facing four formal charges: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault, criminal mischief with damages exceeding $200 but less than $1,000, and disorderly conduct within a business. The total bail was set at $5,900, with the most serious charge—aggravated assault with a deadly weapon—accounting for $5,000 of that amount.
