Reward Announced for Capture of Florida Murder Suspect Known for Disguises and Tattoos

The Walton County authorities in northwest Florida have intensified their pursuit of 38-year-old Isabelle Rose Johnson, suspected of murdering a man whose remains were discovered in a shallow grave. A reward of up to $16,000 is being offered for information leading to her arrest.

Described by the Walton County Sheriff's Office as a "master manipulator" adept at disguising herself, Johnson has been evading capture for nearly a month. The search efforts have expanded to Alabama and Georgia.

The victim, 43-year-old Jason Coulthart from New Jersey, was last seen leaving a residential complex in Niceville, Florida, before being reported missing on May 24. His remains were found on June 25 on a property in Freeport, north of the Emerald Coast beaches, and his identity was confirmed through DNA testing on July 9. Coulthart is survived by a 20-year-old son, his parents, and a younger brother.

A month after the body was discovered, authorities released additional physical descriptions of Johnson to aid in her identification. She has a rose or flower tattoo on her left hand, extending from below the thumb to the index finger, another tattoo on her right ankle, and a large scorpion tattoo spanning from her left buttock to her left thigh.

Investigators suspect Johnson may have altered her appearance by cutting and dyeing her hair. Standing approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 119 pounds, she is known to use multiple aliases, including "Harley," "Jessica Elaine Bowman," "Jessica Elaine Thrush," "Jessica Elaine Thrash," "Jessica Dowdy," and possibly "Denise."

Authorities caution that Johnson might manipulate strangers by claiming to be a victim of domestic violence or other vulnerable situations to solicit transportation, money, or shelter.

Five individuals have already been arrested and charged with aiding her escape from law enforcement. Those detained include 31-year-old Bobbi Wagstaff; the couple Martin and Sandra Leaverton, both 63, from Fort Walton Beach; and Michael Ray White, 74, and Kathleen Morris, 59, from Santa Rosa Beach.

Deputy Chief Dustin Cosson clearly stated the investigation's primary goal: "Our mission right now is to locate her so she can be held accountable for the homicide."

The $16,000 reward comprises $11,000 from Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers and the Florida Sheriffs Association, plus an additional $5,000 from the U.S. Marshals Service.
