My days lately revolve around writing letters, meeting with lawyers, waiting endlessly for phone calls, visiting the prison, and anticipating without answers."
In another post, Daniela highlighted the toll her husband's imprisonment has taken on their young daughter. "The hardest part is looking into our daughter's eyes and not knowing what to say. How do I explain why her father hasn't come home? How do I tell her that every day she asks for him, and I can only say 'soon,' without knowing when that will be? Who gives a child back the time stolen from her with her father?" she questioned.
In a post on Friday, July 17, Escarra warned that the silence of the majority regarding injustices only serves those who wish to avoid accountability. She urged others to continue sharing Eddy's story on social media.
"I am convinced they are trying to make Eddy an example to send a message of fear to others. If expressing ideas or humor leads to fear in an entire society, it is a reality that must be challenged," she asserted.
