A young man, identified as Albert Businesses on Facebook, is offering a reward of 20,000 Cuban pesos for information leading to the recovery of his bicycle, which was stolen on Thursday in the bustling streets of El Vedado, Havana.
Albert shared his plight in the "Bicicletas en venta la Habana" group, detailing that the theft took place near the busy intersection of 23rd and O streets, a well-known area in the city.
"Without much fuss or pity, my bike was stolen today near the bank at 23 and O. The report is already filed. I'm offering 20,000 as a reward to anyone who can return it to me," he posted.
The stolen bicycle is a black mountain bike from the American brand HYPER, which is not officially sold in Cuba. Its value on the black market can range between $300 and $800.
He included a photo of the bike in his post.
Before turning to social media, the young man filed a police report but also issued a warning to the thief: "I remember the face of the SOB who did this. What goes around comes around."
