First-Time Cruiser from Cuba Faces Disappointment Aboard Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas

Experiencing a cruise for the first time, a Cuban traveler took to TikTok to express her dissatisfaction with the Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas, describing the journey as "an utter disaster" due to overcrowding throughout the vessel.

In a video shared by creator @diviertete_con_made1 on Monday, she recounted how her expectations for a relaxing voyage were dashed from day one.

"My experience aboard the Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas was, unfortunately, an utter disaster," she noted in the video's description.

The primary issue, she explained, was the sheer number of passengers, which far exceeded the ship's ability to deliver a comfortable service.

Finding a free table at the breakfast buffet was nearly impossible, and the pools remained so crowded all day that using them was futile.

Matters worsened during the stop at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, where two cruise ships docked simultaneously that day.

The island was completely overwhelmed: pools were packed, bars were out of reach, and waits for a drink extended beyond an hour. "To get a drink, you easily spend an hour waiting for it to be made," the Cuban traveler reported.

The internet and beverage package added nearly a thousand dollars to the reservation, an expense the creator found unjustified given the experience.

The worst part came at the journey's end, during disembarkation. The ship's elevators were jammed, and the parking lot congestion was so severe that it took the couple nearly three hours just to exit.

"I feel that the number of passengers exceeds the capacity to provide a comfortable service and a good experience," she concluded in the video description.

Her husband, when asked on camera about his impression of the cruise, summed it up with a single word: "awful."

The Cuban woman acknowledged that they might have picked the wrong date, but firmly stated at the video's close: "It's the second day—we arrived yesterday—and so far, I think I won’t come again."

This isn't the first time a Cuban from the diaspora has voiced complaints about a Royal Caribbean cruise. Back in May 2026, another Cuban in Miami criticized the poor medical service aboard the Icon of the Seas, another ship in the fleet.

In January of that same year, a video of Cubans on the MSC Seaside cruise sparked a wave of criticism on social media, albeit for different reasons.

The Wonder of the Seas, built in France and delivered in January 2022, ranks among the largest cruise ships in the world: 362 meters in length, 18 decks, and a capacity of up to 6,988 passengers at full occupancy, with a crew of 2,300 individuals.

The creator declared that after experiencing all of this, she has no intention of returning to the Wonder of the Seas.
