This past Friday, Daniela Reyes stirred up social media with just two Instagram stories, triggering a wave of speculation. The Cuban influencer and model hinted at a "big surprise" for her followers.

In the first story, Daniela is seen elegantly clad in a black jumpsuit. The message is both direct and mysterious: "I have a big surprise for you / Reyes & Queens."

The second story shows her inside a luxury vehicle, smiling knowingly: "A month full of BIG surprises." She adds, "Soon, I will share a big surprise. Many of you can guess what it is, but it excites me greatly, and I know it will excite you too," she says in the video.

The combination of her last name with the word "Queens" and an emoji of a crown immediately sparked what her fans have been eagerly anticipating for months: Daniela Reyes potentially announcing her participation in Miss Universe Cuba 2026.

This isn't the first time such speculation has arisen. On April 20th, she posted a message stating, "Something big is about to begin," which was also interpreted as a hint at her candidacy, coinciding with the organization of the event starting its first live casting to select 24 finalists from over 100 hopefuls.

Miss Universe Cuba 2026 is currently in its selection phase, and the winner will represent Cuba at the international edition scheduled for November in Puerto Rico.

The Perfect Fit for Miss Universe Cuba?

Daniela's profile perfectly aligns with the image of a beauty queen. She has spent over a decade building her social media presence with content focused on fashion, travel, modeling, and beauty. Her move to Miami at the end of 2024 boosted her media exposure, including an appearance on Telemundo's "Hoy Día."

In November 2025, she broke her silence, admitting that the thought of participating in the pageant fills her with "immense excitement and a little fear," leaving the decision "in God's hands."

Her followers were quick to react. At the Miss Universe Cuba 2025 gala, where she was present but not competing, the audience was already clamoring for her candidacy for 2026: "The day @danielareyesofficial enters this contest, she could be the first Cuban Miss Universe," one follower wrote. Another was more emphatic: "When Daniela enters, the others should just step aside and hand her the crown."

Even Marianela Ancheta, Miss Universe Cuba 2024, publicly supported her: "I can see you as Miss Universe Cuba."

As of now, no official announcement about her participation in the pageant has been made. However, with just a single Instagram story, Daniela Reyes achieved what few influencers can: becoming the talk of the day without disclosing anything concrete.
