The initiative kicked off on April 20, when Sandro shared his first video delivering polystyrene containers of rice with vegetables to homeless individuals, the elderly, and children.

The campaign unfolds amid Cuba's most severe humanitarian crisis in decades, marked by power outages lasting up to 24 hours, critical food shortages, a transportation collapse due to fuel scarcity, and pensions under ten dollars a month.
Approximately 80% of Cubans view this crisis as more severe than the Special Period of the 1990s, exacerbated since January 2026 following the halt in Venezuelan supplies and the suspension of Mexican shipments.
