Mijail Mulkay Celebrates Birthday with Heartwarming Surprise from His Children in Miami

Monday, April 20, 2026 by Ava Castillo

Cuban actor Mijail Mulkay marked his 52nd birthday on Monday with a touching surprise orchestrated by his children, who traveled to Miami to be with him on his special day.

His eldest daughter, Camila Bordón Arenal, captured the entire event in a video shared on Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt "we love you" directed at her father.

The video showcases Camila's emotional recount of the journey she undertook with her younger brother, Samuel Lozano Bordón, to astonish their unsuspecting father, who had no idea what awaited him.

Camila expressed gratitude to those who helped make the surprise possible, including singer and actress Olga Thomas, Mulkay's wife; Elizabeth Rodríguez; and the Teatro Miami, a cultural venue co-founded by Mulkay and his current partner.

As Mijail waited at the theater, he was clueless about the surprise that awaited him. When the curtain rose, he found his children on stage, and the overwhelming joy brought him to tears as he embraced them.

Camila is the daughter of Mulkay and Cuban actress Jacqueline Arenal, while Samuel is from his relationship with Colombian actress Alina Lozano.

Born in Havana on April 20, 1974, Mulkay is one of the most renowned Cuban actors living in exile in Miami. Earlier this year, he and Olga Thomas co-founded El Teatro Miami, which officially opened its doors last February with the play "El gran circo Maravillas cierra por fin sus puertas," written by Abilio Estévez and directed and starred by Mulkay.
