Anniolys Pino Acanda, a 29-year-old Cuban doctor, has been missing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a week, her distraught family reports. They have not heard from her since Sunday, April 12, prompting them to launch a social media campaign pleading for assistance in locating her.

Her sister, Anyeli Pino, has made numerous pleas on Facebook during this time: "The last time I heard from her was Sunday afternoon. I beg you, for the love of God, to share this, help me reach more people, I need the support of the entire community. If anyone has seen her, please contact me, any information is invaluable right now."

The Buenos Aires City Police have released an official search notice through their Missing Persons Division, confirming that Anniolys was last seen on April 12.

According to the police description, the young woman is 1.55 meters tall, with fair skin, long black hair, and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue jeans, a black sports jacket with a hood, and carrying a black backpack and a suitcase with the Cuban flag.

Community and Social Media Mobilization

The Union of Cuban Residents in Argentina has also spread the search call on their social media, amplifying the request for public cooperation.

A Facebook user named Natalia Valot posted on Thursday, providing clues about potential places where the young Cuban might have been before she vanished. "The last thing known is that she might have been staying at a boarding house in the Liniers area, apparently attended a parish (believed to be San Cayetano), and also participated in a food fair in a plaza."

"I need the support of the entire community. If anyone has seen her, please contact me; any information is invaluable at this moment. Her family in Cuba is desperate," Valot stated.

A Life of Commitment

Anniolys, originally from Perico in Matanzas province, has been living in Argentina for about three years, where she practices as a healthcare professional.

Her sister describes her as a very communicative and responsible individual. They had daily communication, making the extended silence particularly troubling. The young doctor has no close family members in Argentina.

Among the photos shared by her family is one of Anniolys in a red medical uniform with a stethoscope. According to social media information, she has been working as a doctor in Ambrosetti, a locality in Santa Fe province, since 2023.

This Sunday, her sister posted a new message reiterating the call for help: "Anniolys Pino Acanda, Cuban doctor, 29 years old, missing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a week. We still have no news! Please share. We need to find her. Thank you for supporting us during these times."

Buenos Aires hosts a well-organized Cuban community that has responded to the call, as have Argentine groups and citizens, but there is still no information about the young woman's whereabouts.
