A Cuban TikToker known as DjLucky Nueva Tranka captured a heated argument between a couple right on the streets of Miami. He shared the footage on TikTok, labeling it as an "American drama."
The video, which hit the platform on Wednesday, April 2, features DjLucky narrating the unfolding scene in real time while he slowly drives closer to get a better view of the commotion. The couple's car is visible with its door wide open.
From the outset, DjLucky can't hide his amazement or his sense of humor: "These people are caught up in a drama there, let them be," he remarks at the beginning of the one-minute-and-three-second clip.
As he inches nearer, he likens the scene to a movie production: "Look at the open car, those people are making a movie there," he says, moments before exclaiming, "Let's see, let's see, big drama!"
One particularly talked-about moment is when DjLucky uses the Cuban slang "humos" to describe the protagonists of the altercation: "Here the 'humos' are caught in a strange drama," he comments, using a colloquial expression popular among the Cuban diaspora to informally refer to Anglo-Americans.
Determined not to miss a beat, the TikToker declares, "I'm going over there, let's go, folks," wrapping up his commentary with, "Today, people got caught up in quite a drama."
The video, tagged with #djlucky, #miami, and #mundo, also nods to the @ONLY in DADE account, which is well-known in Miami-Dade County for documenting quirky local events.
This clip is part of a well-established trend on TikTok where Cuban residents in Miami use humor—marked by irony, wit, and colloquial expressions—to document street scenes and cultural contrasts between Cuban and American life. This type of content resonates deeply with the diaspora, which numbers over a million in South Florida alone.
Such videos have repeatedly garnered significant attention within the Cuban and Latino communities in the United States, with similar accounts going viral for capturing everything from street fights to absurd everyday moments in neighborhoods like Hialeah and Little Havana.
