Three Cuban men were taken into custody last Thursday after allegedly engaging in indecent exposure during daylight hours at Amelia Earhart Park, a popular public space in Hialeah frequented by families and children, according to authorities.

The individuals arrested have been identified as Deibi Miguel Orpesa Martínez, aged 27, a Hialeah resident originally from Mayabeque Province, Cuba; Geriolsys Palenzuela Alcobre, aged 49, a nurse living in Miami; and Dienil Camejo, aged 61, also residing in Miami, as reported by local media.

According to the arrest report, the trio individually approached an undercover detective from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) in a wooded area of the park, where they allegedly exposed their genitals and engaged in acts of self-stimulation.

Orpesa Martínez was apprehended first at 11:14 a.m., followed by Camejo at 1:20 p.m., and Palenzuela five minutes later. The report indicates that about ten minutes after his initial encounter with the officer, Orpesa Martínez was found again engaging in similar acts on a trail in plain sight.

Community Outrage and Park Environment

The wooded section of the park, used for disc golf, hiking, and other public recreational activities, has been noted in the MDSO arrest report as a location where "men expose themselves, masturbate, and engage in other sexual activities."

Amelia Earhart Park, covering 515 acres, is a well-visited area for families with children. It features an interactive farm, playground, water sports lake, biking trails, and an 18-hole disc golf course.

The incident has sparked outrage and concern among community members. "I am outraged that there are people still doing these things, especially where there are many children, and many women who come here to exercise and walk in the park. They should increase security to ensure safety," a frequent park visitor told Univision.

Legal Consequences and Court Proceedings

Following their arrest on Thursday, the suspects were transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGK) and remain in custody.

The three men face charges of exposing sexual organs, a misdemeanor under Florida law, which is processed under regulations related to lewd or indecent behavior. Penalties can range from fines and probation to imprisonment in aggravated cases.

They appeared in court on Friday, where a judge set their bail at $500 each.
