A suspect has been captured in Cárdenas, Matanzas, identified as one of the alleged culprits behind a violent robbery that took place days ago involving two women accosted by masked individuals in public, according to a source tied to the Ministry of the Interior (Minint).
The Facebook page "Con Todos La Victoria" reported that the assault happened in the Pueblo Nuevo Norte area, specifically at the crossroads of Calzada and San Juan de Dios, while the victims were walking. At that moment, several masked strangers intercepted them, threatening with a knife, and forcibly took several belongings from them.
The stolen items included two cell phones, two portable chargers, and personal documents. The assailants fled without physically harming the women, though the incident left them visibly shaken.
The publication noted that one of the suspected attackers, identified as Víctor Manuel Carrasco Cutiño, was later detained by a police officer after raising suspicions during a law enforcement operation.
