Sandro Castro firmly holds the title of the most foolish influencer, a crown that not even 'Gerardito PKM' can claim, despite his efforts to outdo the absurdities of Fidel Castro’s grandson, who has even made it to the pages of The New York Times.

Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, the national coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and a failed ex-spy, shared photos on his X and Facebook accounts on Wednesday. The images show him riding a pedicab in the Havana neighborhood of La Güinera alongside a woman dressed in white, known as 'Ileana La Madrina'.

This CDR spectacle quickly spread on social media, particularly on CiberCuba, sparking a flood of mockery online. Among the comments, one stood out, directly addressing the "king of Havana nightlife" and owner of EFE Bar: "Competing with Sandro now?"

Sandro, unable to resist, chimed in on Instagram, on the platform known for leading the "cognitive war" against the Castro regime. He perhaps recalled a previous jibe from the chief CDR official, delivered through a clumsy intermediary.

"Now he wants to imitate me with the tricycle," Sandro remarked, countering the subordinate who once groveled at his grandfather's feet and now frequently visits Ileana, 'La Madrina in La Güinera', possibly wary of the 'nganga' secrets Marco Rubio might hold.

The choice of La Güinera as a backdrop didn't go unnoticed; it was one of the hotspots during the July 11, 2021 protests, the largest anti-government demonstrations in Cuba in decades.

Three-Wheeled Rivalry

The immediate comparison was fueled by Sandro Castro's recent antics with three-wheeled vehicles. On March 14, Fidel’s grandson shared a satirical video filmed in Vedado with a Donald Trump impersonator. In it, Sandro drives an electric tricycle while the Trump character (played by Roberto Ferrante) suggests 'buying Cuba'.

Both Hernández Nordelo's and Sandro's "creativity" exemplify the usual hypocrisy and disdain characteristic of the regime's grotesque power figures, as they inch toward their final collapse.

Insights Into the Cuban Regime's Influence

What sparked the rivalry between Sandro Castro and Gerardo Hernández?

The rivalry was fueled by Gerardo Hernández sharing photos of himself on a pedicab, which Sandro Castro claimed was an imitation of his own earlier tricycle antics.

Why is La Güinera significant in Cuban protests?

La Güinera was a focal point during Cuba's July 11, 2021 protests, marking it as a significant site in the country's recent anti-government demonstrations.
