Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó has accused the Chavismo movement of orchestrating a coordinated strategy to feign internal divisions while maintaining a firm grip on power.

In a post on the social media platform X, Guaidó alleged that Delcy Rodríguez, the current president, her brother Jorge Rodríguez, and Diosdado Cabello "are not adversaries, but rather allies," suggesting that their apparent discord is merely a political spectacle.

"They are playing good cop, bad cop. While some talk about dialogue, the others engage in repression," the former interim president stated, asserting that the core intent of Chavismo's leadership is to ensure impunity and cling to power. According to Guaidó, their actions are neither naive nor miscalculations: "Everyone knows who they are."

Guaidó's remarks come amid political speculation following rumors that the Rodríguez siblings might have facilitated Nicolás Maduro's downfall due to personal ambitions and a belief that his political cycle had ended. For Guaidó, this narrative is just another act in the regime's charade.

Recently, the opposition leader also commented on former U.S. President Donald Trump, lauding him as "a man of his word." Guaidó claimed that Trump honored commitments made during a 2020 Oval Office meeting, executing actions against the Chavista leadership with "firmness and determination."

In another post, Guaidó reiterated that a genuine democratic transition in Venezuela hinges on the complete release of all political prisoners, which he deems a "fundamental and priority" step. He stressed that without justice and freedom, discussions of dialogue or genuine change are meaningless in the country.

Through his messages, Guaidó aims to dismantle the narrative of a fragmented Chavismo and warns that a complacent interpretation of internal tensions might inadvertently legitimize a strategy designed to extend authoritarian control.
