The 31-year-old allegedly shot the woman during an argument at their home in the southwestern part of the county, leaving her in critical condition, as reported by local media.

Echevarría is facing charges of second-degree attempted murder with a firearm. During his court appearance on Saturday, a judge denied him bail.

According to the arrest report, Echevarría and the victim had been in a relationship for approximately three years.

The violent confrontation transpired around 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the 6700 block of Southwest 13th Terrace, near West Miami.
