Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador will have the honor of hosting MLS champion Inter Miami, led by the iconic Lionel Messi, as part of their preseason "Champions Tour."

On January 24, Inter Miami will face Alianza Lima at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium. Following this, Mascherano's squad will head to Medellín to challenge Atlético Nacional, a two-time Copa Libertadores winner, on January 31 at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium.

The tour will conclude on February 7 when the team, now featuring Spanish full-back Sergio Reguilón, faces Barcelona of Guayaquil at the Monumental Banco Pichincha Stadium. This match marks Inter Miami's first clash with an Ecuadorian club, according to AFP.

Mascherano's team, set to inaugurate their new stadium in 2026, will resume training on January 10 in Fort Lauderdale.

AFP also reported that Inter Miami is scheduled to play two additional preseason matches against yet-to-be-determined opponents.

The MLS season will kick off for Messi and his teammates on February 21 against LAFC.

In a significant move last October, Messi extended his contract with the South Florida club until 2028, reinforcing the franchise's commitment to establishing itself as the most ambitious project in Major League Soccer (MLS).
