A 22-year-old woman was taken into custody this week at Miami International Airport (MIA) while attempting to board a flight to London. She was found with over 130 pounds of marijuana concealed in her luggage, according to authorities.

The woman, identified as Begum Mulazimoglu, a resident of London, was about to board a Virgin Atlantic flight headed to Heathrow Airport, as reported by El Nuevo Herald.

During a departure inspection, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer noticed two hard-shell suitcases emitting a strong marijuana odor.

Upon examining the luggage, agents discovered approximately 130 pounds of cannabis, which is roughly 60 kilograms, vacuum-sealed and divided into 60 packages within the two suitcases.

Following the discovery, Mulazimoglu was arrested and charged with a first-degree felony for cannabis trafficking, based on the police report.

The young woman appeared before a judge on Tuesday, a day after her arrest.
