A 30-year-old Cuban man tragically lost his life on Saturday in a traffic accident in the Canelones department of Uruguay.
The incident occurred as the Cuban, who was riding a motorcycle, collided with a cart being towed by a tractor, according to a local news outlet.
As a result of the crash, the Cuban national, who had obtained Uruguayan citizenship, died at the scene.
The tractor driver, who passed a breathalyzer test with no signs of alcohol consumption, was unharmed.
The accident took place around 5:30 a.m. on Route 65, near kilometer 82, within the jurisdiction of San Bautista, as detailed in the report.
Authorities are currently investigating the causes of the accident.

The van was carrying ten passengers, nine of whom were Cuban nationals, aged between 20 and 35. The van's driver, a 58-year-old Uruguayan, was not injured and also tested negative for alcohol.
Among the passengers, a young Cuban man died at the scene, another was seriously injured, and seven others suffered minor injuries.
