The White House has declared that the United States is producing "more oil than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined," with a reported output of 24.2 million barrels per day.

In an official statement, the administration boasted about an "unprecedented era of energy dominance" under President Donald Trump and Secretary Wright.

The announcement credits Trump's policies for positioning the U.S. as the global leader in oil and natural gas production, achieving "all-time record production levels."

The White House further claimed that the U.S. generates "as much natural gas as Russia, Iran, and China combined," amounting to 108 billion cubic feet daily.

Beyond comparisons with Russia and Saudi Arabia, the report adds an economic perspective: it states the average gasoline price is $2.90 per gallon, "the lowest level in four years," with American consumers expected to save over $500 million "this holiday season."

The administration also credited itself with lifting the LNG export ban implemented by the prior government, noting that since January, the Department of Energy has approved export capacities exceeding those of the "world's second-largest LNG exporter."

The statement added that since Trump took office, prices for propane, kerosene, firewood, and heating oil have decreased, and the Department of Energy is "refilling and repairing" the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) after what it described as a "reckless" political depletion by the previous administration.

The publication also highlights regulatory actions by the Department of Energy for 2025, including a "deregulatory" effort proposing the removal of 47 regulations, the repeal of four conservation standards, and the issuance of 16 emergency orders to ensure the electric grid's reliability during demand spikes and extreme weather.

President Trump has consistently placed gasoline prices at the forefront of his agenda, promising to address inflation concerns by lowering the cost of fuel to two dollars per gallon, or even less.

Trump, who frequently emphasizes fuel prices in his speeches, highlighted that achieving this goal would be more feasible "if we weren't rebuilding the national reserves strategy that Biden depleted before the elections to try to get elected."

In a pointed criticism of the former president, Trump accused his predecessor of using the Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) for electoral purposes rather than genuine emergencies.
