Wednesday, December 3, 2025 by Olivia Torres

Chabelys Ceballos, a young Cuban entrepreneur known on social media as @chabelyscc__, astonished her followers by sharing how she managed to earn over 100,000 Cuban pesos in just one day through her two private businesses in Havana.

One of her ventures specializes in selling ice cream and flans, while the other focuses on trading sneakers, commonly referred to as "tenis" in Cuba.

Ceballos noted that most ice cream orders come in the evening. "I think people crave them around that time," she remarked. Combining creativity, hard work, and perseverance, she sustains her project despite the country’s challenging economic conditions.

On that particular day, she received a total of 17 orders from both businesses, netting a profit of 103,550 CUP.

The Cuban entrepreneur employs a delivery person, but she ensures that when assistance is unavailable, she personally handles the deliveries because "the business cannot come to a halt."

Furthermore, the young woman is responsible for making the flans and ice creams, purchasing supplies, managing the accounting, and overseeing every detail of her business.

Her story mirrors the determination and resilience of many Cubans who, in the face of the country's ongoing struggles, choose to forge their path and succeed through their own efforts.
