In a decisive move, the Venezuelan government has followed through on its threat by revoking flight concessions for several international airlines this Wednesday. The administration accuses these carriers of aligning with the "terrorist actions" allegedly promoted by the United States, which maintains an unprecedented military presence in the Caribbean.

The government disclosed a list of airlines now barred from flying to Venezuela, including Iberia, TAP, Avianca, Latam Colombia, Turkish Airlines, and Gol.

Earlier that day, Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello declared that Venezuela "decides who flies and who doesn't," asserting that the executive branch "reserves the right of admission."

Cabello maintains that Venezuela values its dignity above succumbing to foreign impositions. This decision further isolates the country, leaving only a few airlines like Conviasa, Avior, Copa, and Wingo operating within Venezuelan airspace.

On the same day, a U.S. aircraft carrying 175 deported migrants landed in Caracas, an event the Venezuelan government seized upon as evidence of Washington's "double standards."

Moreover, Cabello urged for "popular organization to defend the country" amid the growing U.S. military presence in the region.

He also condemned the "imperial madness" of the Dominican Republic's decision to permit the U.S. to use two of its airports for the "Southern Spear" operation. The Las Américas International Airport and the military San Isidro Airport, both located in Santo Domingo, will allocate areas for transporting U.S. equipment and technical personnel.
