Venezuelan singer Nacho recently reached out with a touching message to his fans in Cuba, explaining why he had to delay his planned visit to the island due to the current health crisis.
In a video shared across his social media platforms, the "Báilame" singer conveyed his affection for the Cuban people and expressed his regret over the postponed trip:
“My dear Cuban family, I was so eager to visit you, and I still am, but the health situation on the island has taken us by surprise. I hope there will be a swift resolution,” the artist remarked.
Nacho referred to the chikungunya outbreak in Cuba, noting reports of more than 30,000 affected individuals.
“I understand there are several people in critical condition. I haven't heard of any fatalities yet, and I hope it doesn't come to that,” he added with concern.
The singer emphasized that his decision to postpone the performance is rooted in responsibility:
“We know we can't hold gatherings with large crowds and risk spreading the virus. We hope to be there soon, in 2026, to fulfill our commitment to you. For now, health is the priority—protecting the people, protecting Cuba, and hoping this situation subsides as quickly as possible.”
Nacho signed off his message with words of affection for his Cuban fans: “I love you, I adore you, I miss you dearly, and we will be there soon.”
The artist, who shares a strong bond with the Cuban audience, reiterated his wish to return to the island as soon as the health conditions improve, making it clear that the well-being of the Cuban people is his top priority at this moment.
