The Cuban singer, known as The Goddess, took to Instagram to share the details of her recent health scare that led her to undergo an MRI after experiencing dizziness and loss of balance for several days.
In a video posted on her social media, the artist explained that it all started with an ear infection caused by a bacteria that she had been dealing with since her time in Cuba.
"Hello, my loves. I'm grateful for all the comments because I know many people were concerned. I uploaded a video of myself undergoing a medical procedure and I want to tell you what happened," The Goddess began.
The singer recounted her habit of using sticks and pins in her ears to relieve itching caused by the infection, which ultimately worsened her condition.
"I brought a bacteria from Cuba. They prescribed antibiotics, but often I didn't complete the course correctly. This led to severe infections. My ears were unbearably itchy, and I used to put things in them; the itching was intolerable," she admitted.
As days passed, she started experiencing intense dizziness, balance issues, and even falls. "I would fall even while lying down. When I turned to my side, everything would spin," she described.
Concerned by these symptoms, she sought medical help and, although she followed the antibiotic treatment properly this time, the dizziness continued.
Nevertheless, The Goddess managed to perform at her concert last weekend in Hialeah, despite acknowledging she suffered two dizzy spells during the show.
"Thank God, the MRI results came back fine. There's nothing wrong with my head, I'm perfectly okay, but I did experience anxiety-ridden moments. The doctor wanted to be sure and check more thoroughly," the visibly relieved singer explained.
The performer took the opportunity to send a message to her followers: "Don't do what I did. It's very wrong. They say you shouldn’t touch your ears with your elbows, and this time I've learned my lesson. The scare hit me hard, and I won't repeat it."
