A Cuban Woman's Blind Date Disaster on TikTok: "He Turned His Back and Left"

A Cuban woman shared her unfortunate blind date story on TikTok, revealing how a man she met on the platform stood her up at a restaurant, leaving her with a $120 bill to settle.

In the video, posted by user @ana.menendez89, the young woman explained that after exchanging several messages, the man invited her to dinner at an upscale restaurant. “I thought, let me give myself a chance because I've been alone for years; let me open up a bit,” she explained.

She recounted that upon arriving at the restaurant, the man hadn't shown up yet but texted her, saying, “Go ahead and order whatever you want because I'm going to be a little late.” Convinced she might be meeting “the love of her life,” the Cuban woman ordered an expensive drink, appetizers, and waited.

Unfortunately, the date took a turn for the worse. “When the man finally arrived, he took one look at me and said, ‘Oh, I'm sorry, but you don't look like the girl in the videos. Your face is different.’ Then he turned his back and left,” she recounted, visibly upset.

She admitted, with a mix of laughter and frustration, that she often uses filters in her videos to appear younger but never anticipated such a harsh reaction. “It broke my heart. That man left me with that huge bill of $120. So, no more filters from now on,” she concluded.
