His unconventional recipe, which strays far from Cuban tradition, has left many viewers stunned. However, the focal point for many wasn't the coffee itself, but rather the influencer's kitchen. Numerous viewers requested a tutorial on how to achieve such cleanliness.
In the video, the TikToker employs a moka pot, or Italian coffee maker, but completely alters the familiar method. He begins by boiling water directly in the bottom chamber and adds sugar before placing the filter.
Instead of filling the filter with coffee grounds as customary, he uses only two tablespoons. After securing the top, he allows the liquid to rise, resulting in a brew that is light and smooth.
According to him, the outcome is the perfect American coffee, a stark contrast to the strong, bold, and bitter Cuban coffee favored on the island.
To further defy the traditional coffee experience, this TikTok chef chooses not to serve it in a small cup. Instead, he pours the freshly made coffee into a glass goblet, akin to serving a liqueur.
