The family of Doraiky Águila Vázquez, a resident of the 10 de Octubre municipality in Havana, has reported her missing since last weekend and is urgently seeking assistance in locating her. Over the past three days, her desperate family has been spreading the word on social media, appealing for any information that could lead to her safe return.

Águila, who is 48 years old, was last seen walking away from her home in the Lawton neighborhood on the night of March 15. Since then, there have been no further updates on her whereabouts, according to posts made by her family on Facebook.

In an effort to aid the search, independent platforms Alas Tensas (OGAT) and Yo Sí Te Creo en Cuba (YSTCC) have activated the Yeniset Alert. This alert system is specifically designed for cases of missing women in Cuba. They have also shared details about Águila’s physical appearance and clothing, based on her family's input.

The missing woman is described as having gray hair, a light brown complexion, large brown eyes, standing 1.68 meters tall, and weighing 65 kilograms. A distinguishing feature is a mark on her right ankle. On the day she was last seen, she was wearing a long yellow dress with red or pink flowers at the bottom, along with black and red sandals, while walking along the Calzada of 10 de Octubre. However, some reports suggest she left her home on Saturday around 10 a.m.

YSTCC noted that Águila suffers from transient memory loss and is prescribed clonazepam for this condition. OGAT, based on citizen reports, mentioned that Águila might have experienced a memory lapse that caused her to forget her home address.

The family has reported her disappearance to the police under registration number 19434. In a recent update, a family acquaintance mentioned that Águila was spotted by two people in the Agua Dulce area. Mily Díaz, a Facebook user, has urged locals to assist in the search and provided contact information.

Anyone with information about Águila's whereabouts is encouraged to contact her family at the following numbers: 54236523 (Gustavo), 76994590 (landline), 52423766, 59696001, 53179408, and 76902129, or report it to the police.

In Cuba, many families turn to social media to find their missing loved ones due to the lack of official channels. The collective efforts of citizens and the dissemination of information through digital platforms have proven essential in locating individuals who have disappeared.
