A brutal attack occurred in Havana where a young college student was stabbed four times by a group of four criminals after they lured him through social media under the pretense of purchasing an electric scooter. According to a report by the pro-government Facebook profile of Yanquiel Cardoso, the local community and the heads of the Revolutionary National Police (PNR) successfully apprehended two of the suspects, while the other two managed to flee.

The assailants had arranged to meet the student at the intersection of 49th and 58 B streets in the Kohly neighborhood of Havana, where they attacked him with knives. The post does not provide any information regarding the victim's current condition. However, images of the two detained suspects reveal that they are very young individuals. This attack is part of a disturbing trend of rising violence across the country.

In another incident in the province of Holguín, several individuals were recently arrested for armed assaults and home burglaries. In one case, two men attacked a couple, stealing their scooter, backpack, jewelry, and other valuable items. Additionally, police captured a known offender who broke into a home to steal electric scooter accessories, chargers, and food.
