Cuban musician and singer Alexander Abreu has unveiled an emotional, previously unheard track titled "La Carta," recorded with the late Paulito FG. This song stands as their final collaboration, serving as a tribute to the memory of the legendary artist.

"With my heart shattered into a thousand pieces, I release this duet today. The background photo was taken the day I showed him the song. He told me, 'We need to do something together again.' When I played it for him, his eyes welled up with tears; I had never seen Paulo like that, and he said, 'I'll sing it tomorrow.' We were so close to filming the music video, but life didn't give us the chance. A part of me went with him, and now I feel lost, like a shadow, like a child in a forgotten park. God, please watch over this man's soul. Rest in peace," Abreu expressed in a heartfelt social media post, accompanying the song's release on YouTube.

The passing of Paulito FG has been a significant blow to the Cuban music scene, particularly for Abreu, who shared a deep professional and personal bond with the artist. For many years, Alexander Abreu played trumpet in Paulito FG's orchestra. Despite creating his own path with his band, Havana D'Primera, the friendship and mutual respect between the two remained unwavering.

The newly released track encapsulates the camaraderie and passion both artists held for music, and its debut acts as a means of preserving Paulito FG's legacy, a figure who defined an era in Cuban popular music.

Fans of both musicians have responded with heartfelt emotion, flooding social media with messages of support and gratitude towards Abreu for sharing this final musical memory with Paulito FG. Comments like "Thank you for this gift," "His music will be eternal," and "An irreplaceable duo" are prevalent across digital platforms where the song has been shared.

Through this release, Alexander Abreu pays homage to a friend, mentor, and stage companion, emphasizing that Paulito FG's legacy will continue to thrive within Cuban music and in the hearts of all his admirers.
