The town of Jatibonico in Sancti Spíritus was shaken this Friday by a distressing event involving a man with a schizophrenia diagnosis who threw his young niece from the fourth floor of a building. Miraculously, the girl, named Nathaly, survived the fall. She was rushed to the Provincial Pediatric Hospital of Sancti Spíritus, where she is receiving medical treatment and is reportedly out of danger.

According to close family members, the man, suffering from schizophrenia, seemingly lost control and acted on impulse. They confirmed that the little girl remains in stable condition but is still under intensive care as doctors continue to monitor her progress.

In response to this tragic incident, numerous Cubans have taken to Facebook to offer support to the family and provide any necessary medications needed to aid the young girl's recovery. The initiative "Saving Lives" has set up a contact number, 56242693, for "anything that might be needed."
