Urgent Call for Help: Cuban Youth in Miami Trapped by Drugs

Alex, a young Cuban man, is currently experiencing homelessness on the streets of Miami, having fallen victim to drug addiction. Originally from Havana, his appearance is disheveled and concerning. Covered in dirt with an unkempt beard and hair so long it obscures his face, his speech is difficult to understand. Despite his dire circumstances, it's evident that he is quite young. "I'm just a youngster," he stated.

A TikTok user known as Conducta—who highlights such cases to offer assistance—has made a public plea for anyone familiar with Alex to reach out, hoping to help him out of his predicament. Alex admitted to using a variety of substances, including "weed, ecstasy, and whatever else."

"He needs support. If anyone recognizes him—whether family, friends, or acquaintances—please contact us," urged the video's creator. "Our goal is to reconnect him with his family and give him a chance to move forward," he added.

Just last week, Conducta shared the story of Loretta, a 23-year-old from Camagüey, who had been living on the streets for eight years due to drugs. Conducta found her sleeping on a sidewalk wrapped in a sheet. He offered her a dress, shoes, pizza, and water, and convinced her to go to a place where she could clean up and put on fresh clothes. Loretta admitted to using crack cocaine.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Loretta's life took a positive direction after reuniting with her family, marking the beginning of her recovery journey. Her story went viral on social media, enabling her family, with Conducta's assistance, to find her and provide the necessary support to embark on a new chapter.
