Jesaaelys elaborated that the divorce process has been especially challenging due to its public exposure. According to her, her mother wished for the separation to be handled privately, yet her father chose to go public, subjecting the family to threats and insults. "We are publicly exposed... with new stories emerging every day, turning this into a media circus, leading to us receiving death threats, insults, and countless other things," she expressed.

The influencer also disclosed that both she and her mother learned about Daddy Yankee's divorce plans through social media, with no prior communication from the artist. "Just like you find out by scrolling through a story, that's how we found out; there was no communication like, 'hey, I'm going to do this,' 'this will be published'... it caught us all by surprise," she added.

This estrangement adds to the family tensions stemming from the legal battle between Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González over control of the companies El Cartel Records and Los Cangris. The artist has accused his ex-wife and her sister of unauthorized transfers amounting to $100 million from corporate accounts, further complicating the family dynamics.
