Carlos Alberto, the Cuban sensation with over 12 million followers on TikTok, has finally disclosed why he didn't appear on the podcast "Las Locuras de Miguelín." A recent uproar erupted on social media regarding Carlos's alleged decision to skip this popular podcast within the Cuban community. In a conversation with Mauricio Mejía and Pollito Tropical, the TikToker shed light on the real story.
"Miguelín, I was planning to join your podcast because I noticed a lot of unwarranted criticism aimed at you. He didn't say anything bad about me, and it seemed unfair how people were attacking him. They were trying to defend me, so I appreciate that, but they ended up making him look bad when he hadn't done anything wrong," Carlos clarified.
The TikToker mentioned that he was unfamiliar with the podcast, which led him to pass it to his manager. She is responsible for determining which interviews align with his interests. "I intended to go to show that I have nothing against Cubans. I can connect with them; my idol is Sandra, who is Cuban, and I love my heritage. I am Cuban, and I wanted to demonstrate that," he stated.
However, his plans were derailed when he encountered derogatory comments from the Cuban community that didn't even know him. "When I read those comments, I decided not to go. I have nothing to do with it, and I'll continue on my path. The community itself ruined it by how they referred to me. Comments like 'who is he?' and 'this weirdo,' without knowing me. If you don't know me, there's no reason to disrespect me," Carlos Alberto asserted.
