Ana de Armas and Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel, have recently been seen indulging in a lavish getaway in Gstaad, Switzerland, according to a report by the Spanish newspaper El Debate.

The couple was photographed having lunch at the exclusive Le Grand Chalet hotel, renowned for its breathtaking views of the Saanenland valley and the Alps. This luxury establishment, featuring 20 rooms and 3 apartments, offers rates ranging from 500 to 800 euros per night during peak season. The hotel's restaurant, La Bagatelle, is celebrated for its high-end Mediterranean cuisine.

This public appearance adds to previous sightings of the couple, who were first captured together in Madrid in November 2024, dining at the Numa Pompilio restaurant and strolling along the exclusive Milla de Oro. Prior to their public confirmation, speculation about their relationship arose due to Ana de Armas's frequent visits to Cuba in 2024. During these trips, the actress was seen attending social and cultural events, fueling rumors of a connection with Anido Cuesta.

Manuel Anido, 27, is the son of Lis Cuesta Peraza, the wife of Díaz-Canel, and has served as an advisor to the Cuban government, accompanying his stepfather and mother on various international tours. Their relationship has sparked criticism, particularly among the Cuban exile community, who argue that Ana de Armas is "whitewashing" the Cuban regime's image by romantically linking herself with the president's stepson.

Eugenia Gutiérrez, a journalist and human rights activist in Cuba, remarked, "One can fall in love with anyone, but there are moral and ethical boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. It's shameless."

Following the release of their photographs in Madrid, the couple has been spotted in other European locations, such as Italy, enjoying trips that have drawn criticism due to the stark contrast between their lifestyle and the economic situation in Cuba.
