Conflict Erupts in Miami: Cuban Man Fires Gun After Knife Assault

A Cuban national found himself at the center of a violent confrontation involving a firearm and a knife on Thursday night on a Miami street, resulting in one person being hospitalized.

The incident took place at 1335 NE Miami Ct and was captured on video by a nearby resident. The footage, shared on Instagram by the user ONLY in DADE, reveals a Cuban man in a white t-shirt, armed with a gun, confronting another Hispanic man wielding a knife. The Cuban man is heard saying, "what's up, asere," while a third person attempts to mediate and prevent the altercation.

Despite the Cuban man's efforts to back away and dodge the knife, he eventually fires his weapon, hitting the other man, who collapses to the ground. According to information from ONLY in DADE, the bullet struck the man's arm, necessitating his transport to the Jackson Memorial Hospital Trauma Center.

Another video shows several police patrol cars arriving at the scene. "Officers discovered shell casings and blood at the location. The victim, a 32-year-old man, was alert and conscious when found. No further details have been released at this time," the report notes.
