The Cuban musician Arnaldo Rodríguez Romero, a known advocate of the Castro dictatorship, recently shared several photos with leader Miguel Díaz-Canel taken during National Defense Day events. Arnaldo once again flaunted his close ties with Díaz-Canel, a friendship he has cultivated through his servile behavior toward the regime's leadership.

"A tremendous joy to embrace you on this olive green morning, full of patriotism and reaffirmation! A day of shared hugs with the people!" he expressed on his Facebook page.

In another post, he expressed pride in being invited to participate in the event for National Defense Day, representing Cuban culture. His outfit, consisting of a jacket and hat, contrasted with the olive green uniform worn by the leader, who has been engaged in military activities aimed at "enhancing the concept of a people's war" to counter alleged attacks from the United States.

Arnaldo is one of the most fervent artists supporting the communist government's narrative. He often criticizes—and even mocks—the growing number of voices calling for change in Cuba. Recently, he composed "Aquí no hay marcha atrás" ("There's No Turning Back Here"), a song glorifying the life of Cubans amidst blackouts and wood stove cooking, recorded alongside other pro-government singers like Mayito Rivera and Osdalgia.

In December, he was chosen to close the March of the Fighting People, convened by Díaz-Canel to conclude the National Assembly's session period. On that occasion, he performed a concert on the Havana Malecón, which only drew a small crowd of about a hundred people. The event was a clear failure, with the lack of attendees being more than evident; nonetheless, he distorted the reality by sharing a video on his social media that was from a different performance, rather than the propagandistic event.
