Cuban Cousins in Miami Charged with Assault After Violent Attack on Woman

Two Cuban women in Miami face charges of aggravated assault following a violent incident involving the current girlfriend of one of their ex-boyfriends, as well as injuries inflicted upon the man himself. The alleged attackers are cousins, identified as Rosa Carrazco Pérez, aged 34, and Marla Pérez Lores, aged 25, according to local media reports citing police sources.

Authorities revealed that Marla Pérez Lores had ended her relationship with her ex-boyfriend four months prior to the incident. However, on January 17th at approximately 3:25 p.m. local time, the two cousins arrived by car at an undisclosed location in Miami, where they encountered the ex-boyfriend's current partner near her vehicle.

Pérez Lores exited the passenger seat wielding a metal pipe and struck the victim repeatedly on the head and body. Subsequently, Carrazco Pérez got out of the car, grabbed the woman by the hair, and threw her to the ground, holding her down while her cousin continued the assault with the pipe. During the attack, Pérez Lores also bit the victim on her left thigh.

The ex-boyfriend emerged from his residence and was able to intervene in the attack. Although he was struck on the right hand with the pipe, he managed to separate the attackers and escort his girlfriend inside the house. The victim suffered a head laceration, a minor neck injury, and a bite mark on her thigh, while the man sustained a bruise on his right hand.

Both suspects remained at the scene until law enforcement arrived and were subsequently arrested. They are currently being held at the TGK Correctional Center with bail set at $10,000.
