A bus and a truck were involved in a collision at a roundabout in Havana, fortunately resulting in no human injuries. The incident occurred at the entrance of the Obelisk roundabout, which connects 100 and 31 streets in the Marianao municipality.
Joel Sierra, a member of the Facebook group "Bus Drivers Forever," shared a photo of both vehicles at the scene. "I hope the bus driver is okay since the impact occurred on his side. It happened at the Ciudad Libertad roundabout," he commented.
In the comments section, Randy Torres identified himself as the bus driver and explained that the truck encroached on his lane, blocking his path. "It broke my window," he stated. Torres insisted that the truck invaded the right lane and that he never attempted to overtake it.
Several internet users agreed with Torres, adding that the truck driver made a hasty move and drove over a solid line, instead of moving as close as possible to the central divider, given that there was enough space to their left. "The driver should have approached the curb of the roundabout as close as possible to the continuous yellow line on the left before making the right turn, always with caution and checking the mirrors," the post author affirmed.
