Cuban actress Dianelys Brito has announced to her followers the passing of her mother at the age of 90 in Miami. "An eternal embrace filled with light, Mimi. Rest in peace. We love you!" wrote the actress in a message she later removed from her social media.
Her mother, Julia Villate, had been suffering from dementia for some time. On November 16, Dianelys shared several photos on Facebook featuring the two of them together. "And here we are! Mimi has so much strength! What a way to teach us that giving up is not an option! Lesson learned!" she expressed at that time.
Just days before, in an appearance on the YouTube show "La Casa de Maka," Dianelys became emotional while discussing her mother's condition in a care facility where she was receiving rehabilitation therapies. "Thanks to God, she still recognizes us, and that means the world to us," she shared in that interview.
Back in June, during another episode of the same show, the actress acknowledged that her mother's illness was a challenging issue for the family but emphasized that their strong bond helped them navigate through it.
