On Saturday night, a severe collision between a car and a motorcycle in the Colón municipality of Matanzas left two individuals with serious injuries. The impact inflicted skull fractures and other critical wounds on the motorcycle passengers, necessitating their immediate hospitalization, as reported by Alex Ríos Cruz on the Facebook group "Accidentes Buses & Camiones por más experiencia y menos víctimas!"

The report suggested that the car driver might be responsible for the accident and has been taken into custody. As of the time of this publication, the condition of the injured parties remains unknown. This incident is part of a troubling increase in traffic accidents this week, which have resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

Earlier in the week, on Monday, a head-on collision on the Central Road near the town of Bejuco in Las Tunas led to a fatal fire. A taxi and a rental car collided, causing the rental vehicle to burst into flames, tragically killing its two occupants along with the taxi driver.

The following day, in the Songo-La Maya municipality of Santiago de Cuba, a 14-year-old boy was fatally struck by a speeding car. The driver fled the scene, neglecting to provide assistance.

In Camagüey city, another collision involving two speeding motorcycles and a car resulted in one fatality and left two individuals injured.

Additionally, two minors were injured on Thursday in Bayamo, Granma, when a motorcycle collided with an electric bicycle. A similar incident occurred on Friday in a busy avenue in Santiago de Cuba, injuring a cyclist.
