Numerous tracks were left unreleased by El Taiger at the time of his tragic death on October 10. One of the promising young artists in the urban genre, Wow Popy, had the privilege of collaborating with the iconic artist on some of his last creations. During an interview with Cuban YouTuber Yoslier Santiago, Wow Popy showcased a few of these unreleased tracks that he recorded with El Taiger before his untimely passing.
Among these tracks is "A veces pienso," which has a country vibe and will be featured on Wow Popy's upcoming album. El Taiger recorded the song and after being released from prison, reached out to Wow Popy, saying, “Popy, I’m coming over to fix that song, catch me now that I’m clean, with nothing on me.” The difference between the two versions is considerable; the second version features a much clearer and more melodious voice, in contrast to the rougher tone of the first. The singer revealed that they planned to film the video for the song together just two days before El Taiger's death. However, El Taiger missed the shoot, telling his manager, Teresa Padrón, that he wasn't feeling well.
Wow Popy announced that following the release of his album, "El hijo de Elizabeth," which includes this collaboration and is set to drop on December 9, there will be another album featuring eight songs with El Taiger. This includes a track with a disco rhythm. The young reggaeton artist mentioned that El Taiger had a unique knack for choosing potential hits, handpicking the songs with great care when he visited the studio.
Marcel Reinosa, El Taiger's manager, recently stated that there is enough of El Taiger's music to last three to four years, with several albums already in the pipeline.
