The FBI announced on Tuesday that it is actively searching for two men suspected of committing robberies at two different banks in Miami-Dade County. The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Miami division released images of a man who allegedly robbed the Truist Bank located at 8701 SW 137th Ave. in West Kendall at approximately 10:39 a.m. that day.

According to the federal agency's report, the suspect entered the bank demanding cash from a staff member. Local media reported that the amount stolen has not been disclosed. Authorities confirmed there were no injuries during the incident and urged anyone with information or who can identify the suspect to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Surveillance footage shows a mature man wearing glasses, a blue pullover featuring the white Air Force logo, and a black fanny pack across his chest. The individual has tattoos on his arms, hands, and neck.

Second Incident in Fontainebleau

Earlier that Tuesday, the FBI shared an image on social media of a suspect involved in a bank robbery the previous weekend in the western Miami-Dade area. The authorities stated that this robbery occurred around 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Chase Bank situated at 9501 W. Flagler St. in the unincorporated Fontainebleau area.

"The robber entered the bank and demanded money from an employee. No one was injured," an FBI spokesman in Miami stated in an email to Local10 News. The photograph reveals the suspect wearing a black "Sniper Gang" hoodie, a hat, and a black mask.

Officials have requested that anyone with information about the individual captured on camera should call the FBI at 1-800-225-5324.

Historical Context of Miami Bank Robberies

In mid-2023, a Hialeah man was sentenced to over 11 years imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for a 2019 armed bank robbery where he escaped with more than $30,000.
