In a heartfelt address to his team, supporters, and cabinet members, President Joe Biden expressed his gratitude for the support received throughout his tenure, highlighting the accomplishments achieved during his presidency. "To our amazing staff, followers, cabinet members, and everyone who has stood by me these past four years: thank you," he began, acknowledging the collective effort in advancing his agenda.

Biden acknowledged the challenging time for many, yet assured he is attentive to their concerns and deeply values their sentiments. "I hear you. I see you," he stated, emphasizing the importance of remembering the progress made: "Let us not forget what we have accomplished."

The president stressed that much of the groundwork laid is already benefiting the American people, with the most significant impacts expected in the coming decade. "It is truly historic," Biden remarked, particularly regarding the economic recovery experienced under his leadership. "We are leaving behind the world's strongest economy," he noted, highlighting achievements, especially in employment and economic growth.

Reflecting on America's Ongoing Struggle

Biden also contemplated the enduring battle for America's "soul," a theme present since the nation's founding. "The fight for America's soul has always been ongoing," he observed, recognizing political campaigns as "contests of competing visions," while emphasizing the need to accept and respect the people's will. "Elections reflect that struggle," he indicated.

In his final remarks, the outgoing president called for unity and love for the country, regardless of election outcomes. "You can't only love your country when you win," he concluded, urging everyone to move forward with hope and resolve to continue working for the nation's welfare.

The Democrats were defeated by Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election, to which Biden assured a peaceful transfer of power, contrasting it with the tumultuous inauguration he faced in 2020.
