Daughter of El Taiger Pays Heartfelt Tribute with Video: "Watch Over Me from Heaven Like Grandma Does Too"

Monday, November 4, 2024 by Grace Ramos

One month after the tragic incident that claimed the life of El Taiger, his daughter Yaliet shared a touching message on her Instagram account. Accompanying the emotional text is a video she created in memory of the singer, whose real name was José Manuel Carbajal. "I love you, Dad. My mom has kept me away from the phone for now, but she let me use it to make this video because it's been a month since what happened to you... I will always carry you in my heart, in my mind, and in my life. Watch over me from heaven, like Grandma does. One day we will meet again, as God says. I hope whoever did this to you pays the full extent of the law, although I know it won't bring you back to me and my siblings. I will never forget you," reads the message shared on Yaliet's account.

A Call for Justice and Everlasting Memory

The message, posted on the account managed by her mother, expresses a longing for justice in the wake of El Taiger's death. Recently, Damián Valdez-Galloso was apprehended and named as the alleged perpetrator responsible for the Cuban artist's demise. Despite the sorrow, the message emphasizes that the memory of El Taiger lives on through his children, who keep him close in their hearts.

Community Support Amidst Grief

The post has deeply resonated with the singer's fans, who have offered their support and solidarity to the family during this difficult grieving process, especially to the young Yaliet. "Your words made me cry again, sweet girl. God bless you, your daddy will always watch over you," "Oh my God, how beautiful my girl. Dad will always be with you from heaven," and "Blessings to you, beautiful princess, you are stronger than I imagined. Your dad is always blessing you from heaven," were some of the heartfelt responses from El Taiger's supporters.

The Tragic Loss

El Taiger passed away on October 10 after spending a week hospitalized at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, following a gunshot wound to the head on October 3. Yaliet, one of the late reggaeton artist's daughters, was in Cuba at the time of her father's death. A few days following the tragic event, the young girl reunited with her mother in Miami.
